Laser hair removal works by diffusing a highly concentrated beam of light through the skin that is designed to selectively penetrate the hair follicle. After your treatment is it very important to follow our aftercare instructions. See below for everything you need to know about caring for your skin before and after a laser hair removal treatment.
NO direct sun exposure beforehand
NO use of tanning beds
NO antibiotics 10 days prior
NO waxing in area that will be treated with laser
*Please shave the day before your appointment*
In the case of itching or skin irritation, apply a cold compress or Aloe Vera gel to the treated area.
Avoid hot baths, sauna, rubbing, and massage for a couple days after treatment.
Avoid scratching the skin and picking scabs.
Avoid using cosmetics and creams/scrubs that can cause allergic reactions or irritate the skin.
Avoid using perfume on treated areas.
Avoid shaving the treated area until any redness or discoloration has resolved.
Do not suntan and wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or more when outdoors for 4 weeks after treatment.
Do not use spray tans or self-tanning lotions for 1 week after treatment.
Avoid waxing, plucking, and bleaching to achieve the best results.
Drink plenty of water.
